This policy explains what information Heartland Insights collects when you visit heartlandinsights.net, how it's used, and the choices you have. Heartland Insights is run by Stephen Daneker in Kent, Ohio. If you have questions, email stephendaneker@heartlandinsights.net.
Information you give me
When you request a consultation, the booking form puts your name, business, email, phone number, preferred meeting format and question into an email for you to send. The website itself doesn't store this information. It reaches me only if you send that email, and I use it only to reply and schedule your consultation.
If you become a client, any business data you share is used only to do the work you hired me for. I don't sell it or share it with anyone else.
Website analytics
This site uses Google Analytics 4, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to understand how people find and use it. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to collect information such as:
- Pages you view, how long you stay and how you arrived (for example, a search or a link)
- General location (city or region), device type, browser and screen size
- Actions on the site, such as choosing a consultation time, starting a booking request or copying my email address
This information is used in aggregate to improve the site. I don't use it to identify you personally, and I don't send names, email addresses or other personal details from the booking form to Google Analytics.
Google processes this data under its own terms. You can learn more in How Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Your choices
- You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
- You can opt out of Google Analytics on all websites with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
- You can ask what information I have about you, or ask me to delete it, by emailing me.
Email sent to an @heartlandinsights.net address is forwarded through Cloudflare to my inbox. I keep correspondence only as long as it's useful for working with you.
Hosting
This site is hosted on Cloudflare, which may log basic technical information such as IP addresses to keep the site secure and running.
Children
This site is meant for business owners and isn't directed to children under 13. I don't knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
If this policy changes, I'll update it here and change the date at the top.
